Dr. Philippe Arjane
Dr. Arjane received his medical degree from the University of Sherbrooke in 1994. He completed his training in urology at the University of Montreal in 1999 and graduated as a specialist in urology of the Quebec College of Physicians and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He continued his training with a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery in France at the Clinique Saint-Augustin de Bordeaux, pioneer center of Laparoscopy in Europe. He also graduated from laparoscopic surgery at the University of Strasbourg in France.
Dr. Arjane has operated on more than 2000 patients with urologic cancers (kidney, bladder, prostate) or functional disorders. He is also subspecialized in complex surgical adrenal diseases (Cushing's syndrome, pheochromocytoma). He was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Montreal for five years and is also interested in teaching surgical technique. He is the author of several presentations and videos related to urologic laparoscopy and co-author in a forty scientific articles (see Pubmed) related to cancer treatment.
Since the beginning of January 2010, he chose to make a career in non-academic to increase his access to the operating room and offer better service to the patient.
In addition to urological cancers, Dr. Arjane is interested in general urological problems such as incontinence urinary lithiasis, urinary tract infections, benign prostate and haematuria.
